Patricia Hearst
Patricia Hearst is an American woman born on February 20, 1954, in San Francisco, California. She is the granddaughter of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst. In 1974, she was kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army, a leftist group that sought to promote social change through radical means.
During her captivity, Hearst was reportedly brainwashed and later joined her captors in criminal activities, including a bank robbery. Her case drew significant media attention and raised questions about coercion and free will. In 1976, she was arrested and convicted, but her sentence was later commuted by President Bill Clinton in 2001.
