Patriarch of Moscow
The Patriarch of Moscow is the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, one of the largest Christian denominations in the world. This position was established in 1589, and the Patriarch is responsible for overseeing the church's spiritual and administrative functions in Russia and abroad. The current Patriarch, Kirill I, has held the position since 2009.
