Pasiphaë
Pasiphaë is a figure from Greek mythology, known as the daughter of Helios, the sun god, and Perse, a nymph. She was the wife of Minos, the king of Crete, and is famous for her unusual love for a bull, which led to the birth of the Minotaur, a creature with the body of a man and the head of a bull.
In some versions of the myth, Pasiphaë was cursed by the goddess Aphrodite to fall in love with the bull as punishment for her husband’s actions. This story highlights themes of desire, punishment, and the intertwining of human and animal forms in mythology.
