Daedalus is a figure from Greek mythology, known as a skilled craftsman and inventor. He is often credited with creating the Labyrinth, a complex maze designed to hold the Minotaur, a creature that was half-man and half-bull. Daedalus's ingenuity made him a celebrated figure in ancient stories.
In addition to the Labyrinth, Daedalus is famous for his escape from Crete with his son, Icarus. They used wings made of feathers and wax, which Daedalus crafted. However, Icarus flew too close to the sun, causing the wax to melt and leading to his tragic fall into the sea.
