Partido Comunista de España
The Partido Comunista de España (PCE) is a political party in Spain founded in 1920. It was established to promote communist ideology and has played a significant role in Spanish politics, especially during the Spanish Civil War and the subsequent Franco dictatorship. The PCE advocates for social justice, workers' rights, and the establishment of a socialist society.
Throughout its history, the PCE has faced various challenges, including repression during the Franco regime. After Spain transitioned to democracy in the late 1970s, the party became part of the United Left coalition, which includes other leftist groups. Today, the PCE continues to influence Spanish politics, focusing on issues like inequality and environmental sustainability.
