Partido Acción Nacional
Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) is a political party in Mexico founded in 1939. It promotes principles such as democracy, social justice, and economic freedom. The party has historically represented conservative values and has aimed to reduce government intervention in the economy.
PAN gained prominence in the late 20th century, particularly when Vicente Fox won the presidency in 2000, marking the first time an opposition party defeated the long-dominant Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). Since then, PAN has played a significant role in Mexican politics, participating in various coalitions and elections at local and national levels.
