Parole Boards
A Parole Board is a group of individuals responsible for deciding whether a prisoner can be released early from incarceration. They evaluate the inmate's behavior, rehabilitation progress, and the nature of their crime. The board aims to ensure that releasing an inmate does not pose a risk to public safety.
During a parole hearing, the board reviews various factors, including the inmate's criminal history and any support systems they have upon release. If granted parole, the individual must follow specific conditions, such as regular check-ins with a parole officer, to help reintegrate into society successfully.
