Paro Airport
Paro Airport is the only international airport in Bhutan, located in the Paro Valley. It sits at an elevation of 2,235 meters (7,333 feet) and is known for its stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The airport has a single runway and is served by a few airlines, primarily connecting Bhutan to neighboring countries like India and Bangladesh.
The airport is famous for its challenging approach, as pilots must navigate through narrow valleys and high peaks. Due to these conditions, only a limited number of pilots are certified to land at Paro Airport, making it a unique destination for travelers seeking adventure in Bhutan.
