Parliament of the Netherlands
The Parliament of the Netherlands, known as the Staten-Generaal, consists of two chambers: the House of Representatives and the Senate. It is responsible for making laws, approving budgets, and overseeing the government. Members of the House of Representatives are elected by the public, while the Senate is composed of members chosen by the provincial legislatures.
The House of Representatives has 150 members, who serve four-year terms. The Senate has 75 members, serving for a similar duration. Together, these chambers work to ensure that the government is accountable and that the interests of the Dutch people are represented.
