Parliament of Canada
The Parliament of Canada is the federal legislative body of Canada, located in Ottawa. It consists of two houses: the House of Commons and the Senate. Members of the House of Commons are elected by the public, while Senators are appointed. The Parliament is responsible for making and passing laws, debating issues, and representing the interests of Canadians.
The House of Commons is the lower house, where elected Members of Parliament (MPs) discuss and vote on proposed legislation. The Senate, as the upper house, reviews and suggests amendments to bills passed by the House of Commons. Together, they work to ensure that Canadian laws reflect the needs and values of the country.
