Paramara dynasty
The Paramara dynasty was a prominent ruling family in central India during the medieval period, particularly from the 9th to the 14th centuries. They were known for their contributions to art, architecture, and literature, with their capital at Malwa. The dynasty is often associated with the patronage of the famous poet Kalidasa, who is considered one of the greatest writers in Sanskrit literature.
The Paramaras were also known for their military prowess and engaged in conflicts with neighboring kingdoms, including the Chalukyas and the Rajputs. Their rule saw the construction of several temples and forts, reflecting their architectural achievements. The dynasty eventually declined due to internal strife and external invasions, leading to its eventual disintegration.
