Paramagnet
A paramagnet is a type of material that is weakly attracted to magnetic fields. This property arises from the presence of unpaired electrons in the atoms of the material, which create small magnetic moments. When exposed to an external magnetic field, these moments tend to align with the field, causing the material to become magnetized, albeit only temporarily.
Unlike ferromagnetic materials, which can retain magnetization, paramagnetic materials lose their magnetism once the external field is removed. Common examples of paramagnetic substances include certain metals like aluminum and manganese, as well as some metal oxides.
