Paradiddle
A paradiddle is a fundamental drumming rudiment that consists of a specific sticking pattern. It is played as a sequence of four strokes: a right-hand stroke, a left-hand stroke, followed by two alternating strokes (right and left). This creates the pattern: right, left, right, right, left, right, left, left. Paradiddles help drummers develop coordination and control.
Drummers often practice paradiddles to improve their speed and fluidity. They can be played on a drum kit or practice pad and are essential for various styles of music. Mastering the paradiddle can enhance a drummer's overall technique and versatility in playing.
