Papermaking Process
The papermaking process begins with the collection of raw materials, primarily wood pulp, which is derived from trees. The wood is chipped and then cooked with chemicals to break down the fibers. This mixture is then washed and bleached to remove impurities, resulting in a slurry of cellulose fibers.
Next, the slurry is spread onto a moving screen to drain excess water, forming a wet sheet. This sheet is pressed and dried to remove more moisture, creating a continuous roll of paper. Finally, the paper is cut into sheets or rolls, ready for printing or other uses.
