Paper Manufacturing
Paper manufacturing is the process of turning raw materials, primarily wood pulp, into sheets of paper. The process begins with harvesting trees, which are then debarked and chipped into small pieces. These wood chips are cooked with chemicals to break down the fibers, creating a slurry that is then washed and bleached to achieve the desired color and quality.
Once the pulp is prepared, it is spread onto a moving screen to drain excess water. The wet paper is then pressed and dried through a series of rollers. Finally, the finished paper is rolled up and cut into sheets, ready for use in various products like books, newspapers, and packaging.
