Panthera Tigris
Panthera tigris, commonly known as the tiger, is the largest species of the cat family. Native to Asia, tigers are known for their distinctive orange coat with black stripes. They are solitary hunters, primarily preying on large mammals such as deer and wild boar. Tigers are also excellent swimmers and often enjoy water.
There are several subspecies of tigers, including the Bengal tiger and the Siberian tiger. Tigers are classified as endangered due to habitat loss and poaching. Conservation efforts are underway to protect their populations and preserve their natural habitats across various regions.
