Panthera Onca
Panthera onca, commonly known as the jaguar, is a large wild cat native to the Americas. It is the third-largest feline in the world, after the tiger and lion. Jaguars are known for their powerful build, distinctive yellow coat with black rosettes, and strong jaws, which allow them to crush the shells of turtles and other prey.
These solitary animals primarily inhabit rainforests, swamps, and grasslands, with a range that extends from the southern United States to northern Argentina. Jaguars are excellent swimmers and often hunt in water, preying on a variety of animals, including deer, capybaras, and fish.
