Pangaion Range
The Pangaion Range is a mountain range located in northern Greece, near the city of Kavala. It is known for its rich natural beauty, featuring lush forests and diverse wildlife. The range rises to an elevation of about 1,955 meters (6,414 feet) at its highest peak, known as Pangaion Peak.
Historically, the Pangaion Range was significant in ancient times, particularly for its gold mines, which were exploited by the Thracians and later by the Romans. Today, the area is popular for outdoor activities such as hiking and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, including the nearby Aegean Sea.
