Pamukkale
Pamukkale is a natural wonder located in southwestern Turkey. It is famous for its stunning white terraces formed by mineral-rich thermal waters that flow down the mountainside. The name "Pamukkale" translates to "Cotton Castle" in Turkish, reflecting the soft, white appearance of the travertine formations.
The site is part of the Pamukkale National Park and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. Visitors can enjoy the warm, turquoise pools and explore the ancient ruins of Hierapolis, a nearby Greco-Roman city that adds historical significance to this beautiful landscape.
