Pamukkale National Park
Pamukkale National Park is located in southwestern Turkey and is famous for its stunning white travertine terraces formed by mineral-rich thermal waters. The name "Pamukkale" translates to "Cotton Castle" in Turkish, reflecting the park's unique appearance. Visitors can walk along the terraces and enjoy the warm, healing waters that have been used since ancient times.
The park is also home to the ancient city of Hierapolis, which was built on top of the thermal springs. Hierapolis features well-preserved ruins, including a theater, temples, and a necropolis. Together, these attractions make Pamukkale National Park a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular destination for tourists.
