Palatinate-Zweibrücken
Palatinate-Zweibrücken was a historical territory in what is now southwestern Germany. It was part of the larger Palatinate region and existed as a separate entity from the late 16th century until the early 19th century. The capital of this territory was the town of Zweibrücken, which served as a center for administration and culture.
The territory was known for its unique governance, which included a mix of noble rule and local traditions. In 1799, it became part of the Duchy of Palatinate-Zweibrücken and later merged into the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1816, marking the end of its independent status.
