The Pahlavi Dynasty was the ruling family of Iran from 1925 until 1979. Founded by Reza Shah Pahlavi, the dynasty aimed to modernize Iran and reduce foreign influence. Reza Shah implemented various reforms, including building infrastructure and promoting education, which transformed the country into a more modern state.
After Reza Shah was forced to abdicate during World War II, his son, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, took the throne. His reign saw significant economic growth but also political unrest. The dynasty ended with the Iranian Revolution in 1979, which led to the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
