PIP
A PIP, or Performance Improvement Plan, is a formal document used by employers to address an employee's performance issues. It outlines specific areas where improvement is needed, sets measurable goals, and provides a timeline for achieving these goals. The purpose of a PIP is to help employees understand expectations and support them in enhancing their performance.
Typically, a PIP includes regular check-ins between the employee and their manager to discuss progress. If the employee meets the outlined objectives by the end of the plan, they may continue in their role. However, failure to improve can lead to further action, including potential termination.
