PASOK
PASOK, or the Panhellenic Socialist Movement, is a political party in Greece founded in 1974. It emerged as a major force in Greek politics, advocating for social democracy and progressive policies. The party played a significant role in shaping modern Greek society, particularly during its time in government in the 1980s and 1990s.
Over the years, PASOK has faced challenges, including declining popularity and internal divisions. It was a key player in the response to the Greek debt crisis in the early 2010s, implementing austerity measures as part of international bailout agreements. Despite these challenges, it remains an important part of Greece's political landscape.
