Ozolian Locris
Ozolian Locris was a region in ancient Greece, located in the central part of the country. It was known for its rugged terrain and was bordered by the regions of Phocis and Boeotia. The inhabitants, called the Ozolians, were part of the larger Locrian group and were known for their distinct dialect and cultural practices.
The Ozolian Locrians were primarily engaged in agriculture and trade, benefiting from their proximity to the Gulf of Corinth. They participated in various alliances and conflicts, including the Peloponnesian War. The region was also home to several important religious sites, including temples dedicated to Apollo and Asclepius.
