Overseas Regions
Overseas regions are territories that are part of a country but are located outside its mainland. These regions often have unique cultural, economic, and political characteristics. For example, French Guiana is an overseas region of France located in South America, while Guadeloupe and Martinique are located in the Caribbean.
These regions may have different administrative structures and varying degrees of autonomy. They often benefit from special economic arrangements and may receive support from their parent country. Examples include Puerto Rico, an unincorporated territory of the United States, and Reunion, an overseas department of France.
