Outhouse
An outhouse is a simple outdoor toilet structure, typically found in rural areas or places without indoor plumbing. It usually consists of a small wooden or metal building with a seat over a hole in the ground, allowing waste to drop below. Outhouses are often located away from the main living area to minimize odors and maintain hygiene.
Historically, outhouses were common before modern plumbing became widespread. They are sometimes referred to as privies or toilet sheds. While many people now use indoor bathrooms, outhouses can still be found in some campsites, farms, and historical sites, serving as a reminder of earlier sanitation practices.
