Outfield Positions
In baseball, the outfield positions include left field, center field, and right field. These players are positioned beyond the infield and are responsible for catching fly balls, fielding ground balls, and preventing runs from scoring. They need to have good speed and strong throwing arms to cover large areas of the field.
Each outfield position has specific responsibilities. The center fielder typically has the most range and is often the leader of the outfield, while the left fielder and right fielder focus on their respective sides. Together, they work to support the infield and secure defensive plays.
