Our Lady of Peñafrancia
Our Lady of Peñafrancia is a revered title of the Virgin Mary, associated with a statue that originated in Spain. The statue, believed to have miraculous powers, was brought to the Philippines in the 18th century and has since become the patroness of the Bicol region.
Every September, a grand festival known as the {Peñafrancia Festival} is held in Naga City to honor her. This event attracts thousands of devotees who participate in various religious activities, including a fluvial procession, where the statue is carried along the river, symbolizing her journey and blessings to the faithful.
