Otumfuo Osei Tutu II
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is the 16th Asantehene, or king, of the Ashanti people in Ghana. He ascended the throne on April 26, 1999, following the death of his uncle, Otumfuo Opoku Ware II. As the Asantehene, he plays a significant role in preserving the culture and traditions of the Ashanti Kingdom.
In addition to his cultural responsibilities, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is also involved in various social and economic initiatives. He advocates for education, health, and development in the Ashanti Region, aiming to improve the lives of his people and promote unity within the community.
