Ottorino Respighi
Ottorino Respighi was an Italian composer, musicologist, and conductor, born on July 9, 1879, in Bologna, Italy. He is best known for his orchestral works that often incorporate elements of Italian folk music and historical themes. His most famous compositions include the Roman Trilogy, which consists of Fountains of Rome, Pines of Rome, and Roman Festivals.
Respighi studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Bologna and later in Germany and Russia. His music is characterized by rich orchestration and vivid imagery, making him a prominent figure in early 20th-century classical music. He passed away on April 18, 1936, in Rome, Italy.
