Otto Plath
Otto Plath was an American entomologist and author, best known for his work in the field of insect studies. He was born on April 15, 1885, in Grabow, Germany, and later immigrated to the United States. Plath contributed significantly to the understanding of beetles and other insects, publishing numerous scientific papers during his career.
In addition to his scientific work, Otto Plath was the father of the famous poet Sylvia Plath. He taught at Boston University and was known for his passion for nature and literature. Plath passed away on November 5, 1940, leaving behind a legacy in both science and literature.
