Otomi language
The Otomi language is an indigenous language spoken primarily in central Mexico, particularly in the states of Hidalgo, Mexico, and Querétaro. It belongs to the Oto-Manguean language family and has several dialects, which can vary significantly from one region to another.
Otomi is recognized for its unique phonetic system and rich vocabulary. Efforts are being made to preserve and promote the language, as it faces challenges from Spanish, the dominant language in Mexico. Various organizations and communities are working to revitalize Otomi through education and cultural initiatives.
