Ostrich Egg
An ostrich egg is the largest egg produced by any living bird, measuring about 15 centimeters in length and weighing around 1.4 kilograms. The shell is thick and strong, typically about 2 to 4 millimeters in thickness, which helps protect the developing chick inside. Ostrich eggs are usually a creamy white color and can take about 42 days to hatch.
Ostriches, the birds that lay these eggs, are native to Africa and are flightless, known for their long legs and fast running speeds. An ostrich egg is equivalent to about 24 chicken eggs in volume, making it a unique and impressive feature of this remarkable bird.
