Orpheus and Eurydice
Orpheus was a legendary musician and poet in Greek mythology, known for his ability to charm all living things with his music. He fell deeply in love with Eurydice, a beautiful nymph. Tragically, shortly after their wedding, Eurydice was bitten by a snake and died, descending to the Underworld.
Devastated, Orpheus ventured into the Underworld to retrieve her. He played his enchanting music, which softened the hearts of Hades and Persephone, the rulers of the Underworld. They allowed him to take Eurydice back to the living world, but with one condition: he must not look back at her until they reached the surface. Unfortunately, he looked back too soon, losing her forever.
