Oromos
The Oromos are an ethnic group primarily found in the Horn of Africa, particularly in Ethiopia, where they make up the largest ethnic group. They speak the Oromo language, which belongs to the Cushitic branch of the Afro-Asiatic language family. The Oromos have a rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and festivals that reflect their history and social values.
Historically, the Oromos have faced various challenges, including political marginalization and cultural suppression. In recent years, there has been a resurgence of Oromo identity and activism, particularly through movements advocating for greater rights and representation within Ethiopia. This has led to increased awareness of their cultural and social issues on both national and international levels.
