Oriental Poppy
The Oriental Poppy (Papaver orientale) is a perennial flowering plant known for its large, vibrant blooms. Typically found in shades of red, orange, and pink, these poppies can grow up to 3 feet tall and thrive in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. They are native to regions of Asia and Europe and are often cultivated in gardens for their striking appearance.
These poppies bloom in late spring to early summer and can last for several weeks. After flowering, they produce seed pods that can be harvested for propagation. The Oriental Poppy is also known for its attractive foliage, which consists of deeply lobed, gray-green leaves that add texture to garden landscapes.
