Orbital Sciences Corporation
Orbital Sciences Corporation was an American aerospace manufacturer and small satellite launch service provider. Founded in 1982, the company specialized in developing and launching satellites, as well as providing space-related services. It became known for its Antares rocket and Cygnus spacecraft, which were used to deliver cargo to the International Space Station.
In 2014, Orbital Sciences Corporation merged with Alliant Techsystems to form Orbital ATK, further expanding its capabilities in the aerospace and defense sectors. The company played a significant role in commercial spaceflight and contributed to various government and commercial satellite missions.
