Operation PUSH
Operation PUSH was a campaign initiated in the 1980s by the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, founded by civil rights leader Jesse Jackson. The operation aimed to promote economic and social justice by encouraging businesses to hire more minorities and support diverse communities.
The campaign focused on increasing corporate accountability and fostering partnerships between businesses and minority communities. Through advocacy, protests, and negotiations, Operation PUSH sought to create equal opportunities in employment, education, and economic development, ultimately striving for a more equitable society.
