Operation Michael
"Operation Michael" was a major German offensive during World War I, launched on March 21, 1918. It aimed to break through the Allied lines on the Western Front and capture key strategic locations before American forces could fully arrive. The operation was part of a series of attacks known as the Spring Offensive.
The offensive initially achieved significant gains, pushing deep into British territory. However, logistical challenges and fierce Allied resistance eventually halted the advance. By early April, the operation had largely stalled, leading to heavy casualties on both sides and marking a turning point in the war.
