Operation Meetinghouse
Operation Meetinghouse was a strategic bombing raid conducted by the United States during World War II on the night of March 9-10, 1945. The primary target was the city of Tokyo, Japan, which was heavily populated and industrially significant. This operation aimed to destroy Japanese war production capabilities and weaken morale by targeting civilian areas.
The bombing utilized incendiary bombs, resulting in widespread fires that devastated large portions of the city.
