Olympic flame
The Olympic flame is a symbol of the Olympic Games, representing peace, unity, and friendship among nations. It is lit at the Olympia site in Greece, where the ancient games were held, using sunlight and a parabolic mirror. The flame is then carried in a relay to the host city of the upcoming games.
Once it arrives, the flame is placed in a cauldron during the opening ceremony and remains lit throughout the duration of the Olympic Games. The flame is extinguished during the closing ceremony, marking the end of the event and the return of the games until the next edition.
