Olympic emblem
The Olympic emblem consists of five interlocking rings, colored blue, yellow, black, green, and red on a white background. These rings represent the five continents: Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. The emblem symbolizes unity and the coming together of athletes from around the world during the Olympic Games.
Designed by Pierre de Coubertin in 1913, the emblem was first used in the 1920 Antwerp Olympics. The colors were chosen because at least one of them appears in the flag of every nation participating in the Games. The emblem has become a globally recognized symbol of sportsmanship and international cooperation.
