Old-New Synagogue
The Old-New Synagogue is a historic synagogue located in the Jewish Quarter of Prague, Czech Republic. Built in the late 13th century, it is one of the oldest active synagogues in Europe and a key example of Gothic architecture. The synagogue is known for its unique design, featuring a high vaulted ceiling and beautiful stained glass windows.
The synagogue is also significant in Jewish history and culture, serving as a central place of worship for the local Jewish community. It is closely associated with the legend of the Golem of Prague, a mythical creature created by the rabbi Judah Loew to protect the Jewish people.
