Old Azerbaijani
Old Azerbaijani is an early form of the Azerbaijani language, which belongs to the Turkic language family. It was spoken primarily in the region of Azerbaijan and surrounding areas from the 11th to the 19th centuries. This language evolved from Old Turkic and was influenced by Persian and Arabic due to historical interactions.
The language is characterized by its unique phonetic and grammatical features, which differ from modern Azerbaijani. Old Azerbaijani literature includes poetry and prose, reflecting the culture and traditions of its time. Over the years, it gradually transformed into the contemporary version spoken today.
