Ogoh-Ogoh
Ogoh-Ogoh are large, colorful effigies made from bamboo and paper, traditionally created for the Hindu festival of Nyepi in Bali, Indonesia. These figures often represent demons or negative spirits and are paraded through the streets on the eve of Nyepi, symbolizing the expulsion of evil.
After the parade, the Ogoh-Ogoh are burned in a ceremonial ritual, signifying purification and the start of a new year. This practice is an important part of Balinese culture, reflecting the community's beliefs in the balance between good and evil, as well as the importance of spiritual cleansing.
