Office of the United States Trade Representative
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) is a part of the U.S. federal government responsible for developing and coordinating international trade policies. It represents the United States in trade negotiations and works to ensure that American businesses and workers benefit from trade agreements.
The USTR also monitors trade practices of other countries and enforces trade laws. It plays a crucial role in promoting fair trade and addressing trade barriers, helping to create a level playing field for U.S. exports. The office is led by the U.S. Trade Representative, who is a member of the President's Cabinet.
