Octuplet
An "octuplet" refers to a set of eight offspring born at the same time from a single pregnancy. This rare occurrence can happen through natural conception or assisted reproductive technologies, such as in vitro fertilization. Octuplets are extremely uncommon, with only a few documented cases worldwide.
The birth of octuplets poses significant medical challenges for both the mother and the babies. Due to the high number of fetuses, there is an increased risk of complications, including premature birth and low birth weight. Families with octuplets often require extensive support and resources to care for the large number of infants simultaneously.
