Ocean Atlas
Ocean Atlas is a large underwater sculpture created by artist Jason deCaires Taylor. Located in the Bahamas, it depicts a young girl holding up the ocean, symbolizing the need to protect marine life and the environment. The sculpture is made from eco-friendly materials that promote coral growth and provide habitats for marine creatures.
Installed in 2014, Ocean Atlas is part of a larger underwater museum called the Museo Subacuático de Arte. The sculpture is approximately 5.5 meters tall and is designed to attract divers and snorkelers, raising awareness about ocean conservation and the impact of climate change on marine ecosystems.
