Obligatory Prayers
Obligatory prayers, known as Salah in Islam, are the five daily prayers that every adult Muslim is required to perform. These prayers are a fundamental aspect of a Muslim's faith and practice, serving as a direct link between the individual and Allah. The five daily prayers are performed at specific times throughout the day: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha.
Each prayer consists of a series of movements and recitations, including verses from the Quran. The purpose of obligatory prayers is to cultivate a sense of discipline, spirituality, and community among Muslims, reinforcing their connection to their faith and to one another.
